INFUSE was an event produced and hosted by the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) in May of 2018. It focused on the prevalent issue of physician burnout, providing lectures, workshops, resources, and inspiration to healthcare workers seeking to find better balance in their personal and professional lives. It was a one-time event, but it was so well-received by the physician community that it launched a bigger campaign by MSV that eventually resulted in the creation of SafeHaven, a well-being program that has been nationally acclaimed for its groundbreaking provisions to protect and support physicians facing burnout and other issues.
I created the brand for INFUSE to reflect a bright, vibrant feeling of inspiration and creativity. A big point within MSV was to create an event that didn’t feel like “just another healthcare conference,” so we decided to take a more colorful and playful approach that what is commonly seen in that field. The watercolor motif was inspired by the concept of “infusion,” of things mixing and swirling and becoming something other than their separate parts, and each watercolor graphic was individually painted and digitally layered to create a custom, personal feel.
The main items created for this event were:
Logo and Supporting Brand Graphics
Stationery
Promotional Posters and Flyers
On-site Workbook
Various On-site Branded Materials: Lanyards, Pens, Sponsor and Directional Signage, etc.
